what is
session funnel / outcome funnel
in one line
an outcome funnel tracks how many users start a guided flow, how far they get, and how many finish, showing exactly where people drop off.
a funnel is a series of steps with a count at each one, so you can see how many people make it from the first step to the last. a session funnel follows users through a sequence of pages or actions in a visit.
an outcome funnel applies the same idea to guided help: who asked for help, who started the guide, who got through each step, and who actually finished the task.
the value is in the drop-off. if most users abandon at step three, that step is the problem: a confusing instruction, a broken target, or a ui that doesn't match the guide.
where heytappr fits
every heytappr guide gets an outcome funnel out of the box: asked, started, each step, finished. alongside it, a needs-attention list flags broken selectors and questions no guide covers.
