heytappr + plain html

add heytappr to any web page with one script tag before the closing body tag.

where it goes

put the script just before the closing body tag of every page you want it on. if your site shares a footer include, add it there once.

things worth knowing

if your server-rendered app has a shared layout or template, add it there once instead of on every page.
give the controls your guides point at stable ids or data attributes. styling classes change often and break selectors.
allowlist your web origin in the heytappr workspace, or the embed won't load. add every origin you serve from, including staging.

questions

does it need a build step?

no. it's a plain script tag loaded from the cdn.

will it clash with my other scripts?

it runs on its own and doesn't need anything from your page besides the elements your guides target.
